LUXURY MOROCCO JOURNEYS
Designed around You
A bespoke journey with By Prior Arrangement begins with a blank page. We have specialised exclusively in Morocco for more than 30 years and design your trip entirely around you. Your dates set the frame, your interests shape each day, and your pace and budget decide how it flows. You tell us what you dream of and we make it happen, staying with you on the ground from the moment you land until you fly home. It is a world away from an off-the-shelf package, and it is how we have always travelled.
In Summary
By Prior Arrangement creates fully bespoke private journeys through Morocco, with every itinerary designed from scratch around your dates, interests, pace and budget.
Every journey includes a dedicated private driver at your disposal, hand-picked riads and desert camps, and expert local guides drawn from 30 years of on-the-ground relationships.
With offices in Sydney and Marrakech and Australian travel industry accreditation (ATIA/ATAS) accreditation, BPA manages every detail from your airport welcome to your flight home, so you travel with ease in a country that can be tricky to navigate alone.
How a bespoke journey works
Every journey we create follows the same simple arc, from the first spark of an idea to the memories you bring home.
Dream it
It all begins with an idea: yourself atop a golden dune at sunset, wandering a vibrant souk, or pausing as the call to prayer drifts from a minaret. We open with a conversation about what matters most to you, whether culture, food, hiking, history, photography, adventure or a blend of all, along with your budget, the accommodation standard you have in mind, and our advice on seasonality and how long to allow. Browse our Morocco destinations for inspiration, or simply tell us what you love and let us suggest the rest.
Build it
You share your dates, your arrival and departure airports, and the experiences that matter most. From there we build a tailor-made itinerary from scratch: accommodation that suits your style, a private driver who keeps you comfortable, and local guides who bring each place to life. We plan the route to minimise travel fatigue and balance experiences with time to relax, then refine every day with you before handling the bookings, logistics and timings ourselves
Live it
From your airport welcome, the journey unfolds seamlessly. Your private driver stays with you throughout, your riads and camps are expecting you, and your guides know exactly what you want from each day. Every detail is handled, and where it is practical you stay free to adapt the timing, leaving you to capture the perfect photo, savour a rooftop sundowner and sink into the relaxation of a hammam.
Remember it
Back home, the journey lives on: photographs that capture its magic, the tagine you mastered in a cooking workshop, the Berber rug you bargained for now part of your home. The friendships formed with guides, drivers and local hosts often stay with you longest, and many of our travellers return with us, sometimes for a region they only glimpsed, sometimes for a favourite place in a different season.

Your private driver, at your service
Every bespoke journey with By Prior Arrangement comes with a dedicated private driver at your disposal for the whole trip. Far more than transport, your driver is a trusted escort, concierge and travelling companion, and the same driver stays with you throughout most itineraries to give your journey real continuity.
Seamless comfort
Reliable and discreet, your driver handles the roads, the parking and the logistics while you immerse yourself in the country. Vehicles are modern, comfortable and air-conditioned.
Insider insight
Hear the stories, tips and local knowledge that turn a transfer into a cultural experience, from where to stop for the best mint tea to which viewpoints deserve a detour.
Your own pace
Linger in a mountain village, detour to a hidden kasbah, or pause for photos and a coffee break whenever the mood takes you. Your day is yours to shape.
What we can arrange
Thirty years of relationships across Morocco open doors that stay closed to mainstream operators. These are a few of the experiences we regularly weave into bespoke itineraries:
Cultural experiences
Guided medina walks, historical and architectural walks, garden visits, local markets, and time in lesser-known places away from the crowds.
Artisan encounters
Craft workshops with master makers, weaving and textile demonstrations, and artisan cooperatives working in zellige, leather, carpets and ceramics.
Riads and luxury stays
Hand-picked boutique and luxury riads in Marrakech, Fes and beyond, kasbah-style retreats and contemporary luxury hotels, each matched to your taste.
Food and wine
Market visits with a chef, cooking classes and tagine workshops, food-focused guides, home-hosted meals, and vineyard visits where the season suits.
Mountains and coast
Atlas village visits, gentle guided valley walks, rural experiences far from the tourist centres, and relaxed coastal time in Essaouira, Oualidia or Larache.
Private guided visits
Licensed local guides who tailor each walk to your interests, whether architecture, history, photography, Jewish history or shopping.
Something extra
Hot air balloon flights over the plains, 4x4 wildlife safaris and bike riding for travellers wanting a little more adventure.
Planning your Morocco journey
When to travel
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer warm days, cool evenings and ideal conditions across the country. Winter is mild and quieter on the coast and in Marrakech, while summer suits travellers who explore in the cool of the morning, plan around the midday heat and skip the desert at its hottest. We design every itinerary with the season in mind.
How long to allow
Ten to fourteen days is the sweet spot for a first visit. Two to three weeks allows deeper exploration, a focused week suits a single region, and returning travellers often build around the places they have yet to see, from Fes and Chefchaouen to the north.
When to book
We recommend enquiring six to twelve months ahead for peak-season travel. The finest riads and premium desert camps hold only a handful of rooms and book out early, and you won’t want to miss out on those experiences. With that being said, last-minute trips are often possible depending on availability, so it is always worth asking.
How the process works
Enquire now with your rough dates and ideas, and a Morocco specialist will arrange an initial consultation. We sketch a draft itinerary so we can agree the circuit together, then prepare a tailored proposal with accommodation and transparent pricing. We refine it until it is exactly right, and only then do you confirm with a deposit, with our full pre-departure support through to your return.
The By Prior Arrangement difference
By Prior Arrangement is an Australian-owned company that has designed private journeys through Morocco for more than 30 years, with hundreds of trips behind us and offices in both Sydney and Marrakech. Our team lives, works and travels in Morocco year round, so our advice is realistic, practical and grounded in firsthand experience rather than generalist guesswork. We are ATIA members and ATAS accredited. If you would rather travel with like-minded companions and an expert host, our hosted small group tours offer the same curation in a group setting.
FAQs
What is included in a private Morocco trip with By Prior Arrangement?
1
Every bespoke itinerary includes your accommodation, a dedicated private driver throughout, expert local guides, selected meals, your chosen activities and experiences, and all transfers from airport welcome to final departure, with our support before and during your trip. International flights, travel insurance, some meals and personal expenses are not included. Because each journey is built from scratch, your proposal sets out exactly what is covered before you commit.
How far in advance should I book a private Morocco trip?
2
Six to twelve months ahead for travel during the peak spring, autumn and the Christmas season, since the best riads, premium desert camps and specialist guides are limited and book out early. Shorter lead times are often workable, so it is always worth asking.
Is a bespoke journey suitable for solo travellers, couples and families?
3
Yes. Because every journey is designed from scratch, we routinely create itineraries for honeymooners, multigenerational families, solo travellers and groups of friends. If you would prefer to travel with like-minded companions, our hosted tours are a wonderful alternative.
Can BPA accommodate dietary requirements?
4
Do I need a guide in every city?
Can my itinerary be adjusted after booking?
How do I start planning my Morocco journey?
5
6
7
Yes. Tell us about any dietary needs or allergies when we plan your trip, and we will brief your accommodation, guides and the restaurants we book so your meals are taken care of throughout the journey.
It helps to get your bearings to retain a guide for at least half a day at the start when visiting a city, to help you get your bearings. We arrange licensed local guides where they add the most, such as the medinas of Marrakech and Fes, and leave you free to explore independently elsewhere, with your driver always on hand. We will recommend the right balance for your interests.
Within reason, yes. Accommodation and key bookings are confirmed in advance, but there is usually room to adapt the pace and timing of your days, and your driver and our team can help you make the most of unplanned discoveries along the way.
Enquire now with your rough dates and ideas, and one of our Morocco specialists in Sydney will be in touch to start the conversation. There is no obligation at the proposal stage.
